Handpicked and whole bunch pressed; 68% tank fermented with full solids, 32% barrel ferment with wild yeast; aged on lees for 6 months.

The Karridale subregion is home to the finest Sauvignon Blanc grapes in Margaret River. Crisp higher natural acids; aromatic citrus fruit profiles; extended slower ripening and more fruit intensity: what’s not to like?

Semillon has always colluded with Savvy. Our choice of Karridale Semillon is due to its lemon pith midpalate and racy mineral acidity that complements and extends the punchy Sauvignon profile.

The 2013 Perfect Day shows the higher barrel ferment component (all the Semillon and the balance SB) and the higher SB content.

A warm start to the picking season gave way to more moderate temperatures in late February and March which have also preserved the natural acidity of the fruit. The 2013 Perfect Day shows seamless integration: melon, pear, dried herb and lemony notes with some funky “full solids” and barrel fermentation for texture. Crisp and dry, the palate shows fine lifted fruit with a tight focus. The palate is typically long with lingering lemon skin and sage notes. For a Perfect Day this this summer. RIP Lou Reed.
