Initially, the nose has hints of satsuma, blackberry, dark chocolate, fresh earth and petrichor. Give it a little time to breathe reveals raspberry bon bon, bacon smoke and iodine. A core of bright red plum and black berries in a rich fleshy middle palate are threaded with fine sinewy tannins. The savoury earth and stone minerality complexes and lengthens the high noted fruit. Finishes with spice, raspberry and fine dusty fruit tannins. Possibly our best vintage yet for this wine.
